Rangers to Host “Garden of Dreams Night” on Friday Against Vegas
NEW YORK, December 16, 2021 – The New York Rangers will host a special “Garden of Dreams (GDF) Night” on Friday, December 17 at Madison Square Garden when the Blueshirts take on the Vegas Golden Knights. “Garden of Dreams Night” celebrates the incredible impact of the Foundation by highlighting the work that they do with their 30 non-profit partners to bring life-changing opportunities to young people in need.
During the Rangers ‘Garden of Dreams Night’ game, Garden of Dreams children will participate in a series of once-in-a-lifetime experiences with the Rangers, both before and during the game. Teenagers from Madison Square Boys & Girls Club will kick off the evening by performing the national anthem and will be followed by a young person from Memorial Sloan Kettering, who will be part of the ceremonial puck drop. Throughout the game, Garden of Dreams young people will have the opportunity to be a guest event presentation game director, public address announcer, honorary Blue Crew member, guest musician and get to visit the MSG Network set.
Beginning on Friday night, MSG Networks will launch their annual fundraiser that will be hosted through on-air promotion. Fans will have the opportunity throughout this time to donate and be entered into a sweepstakes for a chance win great prizes such as signed memorabilia and game tickets. All proceeds will benefit Garden of Dreams.
Prior to the game, the Rangers will sport special warm-up jerseys which will be auctioned off on https://auctions.nhl.com/NewYorkRangers beginning on December 17 and ending on December 22 at 9:00 PM ET. During the game, players will have Garden of Dreams decals on the back of their helmets. In addition, Rangers staff members and MSG Network personalities will wear GDF pins throughout the night.
