Who are we hiring?
The Manager Digital Content will be responsible for concepting and executing social first content to support marketing and business initiatives across all social channels for the Knicks and Rangers. This role will produce compelling and engaging social content along with leading the social influencer strategy for all MSGS social media platforms that help connect our fans to our teams and brands. This role will work in tandem with the Social Media teams and work collaboratively with Marketing, Partnerships, Legal and PR, to produce social first content autonomously.
What will you do?
- Conceptualize, write, produce, shoot, and edit social first content to support various strategic business initiatives for the Knicks and Rangers like sponsored content and social activations around key season tentpoles
- Lead and execute our overall Influencer strategy
- Develop and maintain strategic influencer relationships to enhance exposure of the brand
- Work with legal to lead negotiations on influencer agreements
- Identify current and emerging trends and storylines that can be translated into engaging social content and ultimately shared across the appropriate channels to engage our fans
- Collaborate with social and marketing teams to inspire creative innovation across social content
- Lead concepting and execution of sponsored content with while ensuring partner needs align with the teams’ brand identities and marketing strategies
- Frequently meet and collaborate with peers in Marketing, Partnerships, PR to support their priorities through MSG Sports social accounts
- Produce special projects as needed (i.e. Podcasts)
What do you need to succeed?
- 5+ years’ experience in social content creation in the sports and/or entertainment industry
- Technically proficient and strong knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms.
- Ability to autonomously develop and produce social first content from concepting to publishing
- Experience in adobe suites (Premiere Pro, After Effects) and/or other video editing software (CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Slate)
- Passion for and knowledge of sports, live entertainment, technology, and emerging media
- Experience working with celebrities, professional athletes and influencers
- Passion for and understanding of social media universe and digital marketing, with a strong focus on influencer marketing
- Strong knowledge of social first capturing and editing styles and techniques
- Knowledge of social media analytics and measurement tools
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, and highly matrixed environment
- Excellent project management, strategic thinking, and communication skills

- Nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Attend select Knicks and Rangers games when unique content capture is needed
