Who are we hiring?

The 7th Ave Squad set the standard in sports for fan engagement and will continue to raise the bar this coming season. The 7th Ave Squad are at all Knicks home games and participate in t-shirt tosses, on court / ice promotions, in-game entertainment, and work outside events for the Knicks brand throughout the season.

This is a part time seasonal position based in New York. Candidates must be available to work nights and weekends (start time: 3 hours before game time) and to work a minimum of 75% of all home games.

What will you do?

• Entertain and energize crowds at Knicks home games
• Engage with fans during promotions on the court and in the stands
• Communicate directly with large groups of fans during Knicks home games
• Work with other entertainers on special presentations as needed
• Represent the Knicks at special events, viewing parties, clinics / camps, charity events and promotional engagements
• Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.  

What do you need to succeed?

• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Enjoy entertaining in a family-oriented environment, and be able to interact with large crowds, small groups and individuals, especially children.
• Available to work nights and weekends (start time: 3 hours before game time)
• Must be available to work a minimum of 75% of all home games.
• Be energetic and outgoing.
• Strong personal skills
• Be prompt, with a flexible schedule.
• Professional and respectful
• Team-player and punctual
• Previous leadership experience in the sports/ entertainment industry preferred.
• A live performance background is encouraged.
• Dancing, break-dancing and tumbling are a plus!
• Must be available to work a minimum of 75% of all home games.

  • Live entertainment isn’t always going to go the way we plan. Tell us about a time when you made a mistake under pressure and how you recovered from it. What’s something this situation taught you?
• Show Us What You Got (45-60 seconds)
  • Use this time to showcase your personality and highlight your strengths as a performer. This can include but is not limited to any of the following:
    • Demonstrate a unique skill, hidden talent, or your go-to party trick
    • Share a fun fact or story about yourself
  • Tell us your favorite joke
    • Talk about your favorite New York Knicks memory
    • Show off your favorite dance move
• Mock Crowd Engagement / On-Court Hype (15-45 seconds)
  • Imagine there’s 5.7 seconds left in the 4^th quarter, the Knicks are down by 1, and Jalen has the ball. Show us how you would hype up the crowd and help push the energy in MSG over the edge to help the team finish the job.
