Jared Harper Named to 2021 All-NBA G League First Team
Harper becomes first-ever Westchester player to receive First-Team nod
WHITE PLAINS, NY – March 23, 2021 – Jared Harper of the Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, was named to the 2021 All-NBA G League First Team as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. He becomes Westchester’s first-ever recipient of the award and it’s now the highest nod a player has received in franchise history.
Harper, on a Two-Way Contract via the New York Knicks, concluded his second professional campaign in the NBA G League-first under the Knicks organization. During the 2021 single-site 15-game season, Harper finished fourth in the league in scoring registering in 21.3 points per game on 47.3-percent shooting. Starting all of the 12 games he appeared in, the guard led the team in scoring on five occasions. This included a pair of 30-point performances-most recently netting a career-superlative of 35 points to punctuate the team’s season victory finale against Erie (3/5).
The Mableton, GA native was the team’s frontrunner in helpers and slotted second in the league with 6.9 assists per game. He eclipsed the 10-assist mark four times this season topped by a 13-assist showing against Fort Wayne (2/10) to commence the season which tied his career-high.
Harper’s line this season also included 2.4 three-pointers made per game (third-best on the team) on a 40.3-percent clip.
Westchester’s 7-8 (.467) record finished T-10th in the regular season.
